Privacy Policy
How Deep Inference handles personal data on this website and inference traffic on the service. Effective 5 September 2026.
1. Who we are
Deep Inference (“Deep Inference”, “we”) operates deepinference.co and provides inference optimization and serving services (the “Service”). Contact: hello@deepinference.co.
2. What this policy covers
This policy covers personal data we collect through our website and in the course of providing the Service to customers. Where we process data on behalf of a customer under a contract, that contract governs and this policy applies only to the extent it does not conflict.
3. Data we collect on the website
- Contact requests. Name, work email, optional phone, company, role and the workload details you choose to give us in the Start building form. Used to respond to you and to prepare for a first call.
- Research subscriptions. Your email address, used only to send the write-up you asked for.
- Server logs. IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp, kept for security and rate limiting for up to 30 days.
We do not run third-party advertising trackers on this site.
4. Inference traffic: zero prompt retention by default
Prompts, completions, embeddings inputs and tool-call payloads sent to an endpoint we operate are processed in memory to produce the response and are not stored by default. We do not use customer inputs or outputs to train, fine-tune or evaluate any model.
We do retain usage metadata needed to run and bill the Service: model id, timestamps, token counts, latency measurements, request status and error codes. Usage metadata does not contain prompt or completion content.
A customer may choose to enable request logging for debugging. If enabled, content is retained only for the period the customer sets, is accessible only to that customer and to Deep Inference personnel acting on the customer’s request, and is deleted at the end of that period.
The optimization agents operate on traffic shape — prompt and output lengths, arrival patterns, prefix hit rates, latency distributions — and on replays that the customer has explicitly provided or authorized. They do not require, and are not given, retained prompt content.
5. Deployments in your cloud
When the Service runs in a customer’s own cloud account or VPC, inference traffic never reaches Deep Inference infrastructure. We receive only aggregate performance metrics and configuration state needed to operate the optimization loop, and only to the extent the customer’s deployment permits.
6. How we use personal data
- To respond to requests and provide the Service.
- To operate, secure, rate-limit and improve the website and Service.
- To bill customers and meet legal and accounting obligations.
- To send service communications. Marketing email is sent only with consent and always includes an unsubscribe link.
7. Sharing
We share personal data only with service providers acting on our instructions and bound by contract: website hosting, backend hosting and database, transactional email, and the cloud providers on which endpoints run. We do not sell personal data. We disclose data when required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of Deep Inference, our customers or others.
8. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards. Customers can specify the region in which their endpoint runs.
9. Retention
Contact and subscription data are kept until you ask us to delete them or for three years after the last interaction, whichever is sooner. Customer account and billing records are kept for the term of the contract and as long as legally required afterwards. Inference content is not retained unless a customer enables logging (Section 4).
10. Security
Data in transit is encrypted with TLS. Access to production systems is restricted to personnel who need it, protected by multi-factor authentication and logged. A SOC 2 Type II audit is planned; ask us for our current security overview.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent. Email hello@deepinference.co and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
12. Children
The website and Service are for businesses and are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
13. Changes
We will post changes here and update the effective date. Material changes affecting customers will be notified by email.
